Farewell Circumambulating (Tawafye-Wida)
Tawaf-e-Wida or Farewell Tawaf is not obligatory for those living in Mak`kah but is obligatory on all other pilgrims coming from distant places. This is the last rite of the sum total performance of Hajj irrespective of one’s intent of mode of Hajj i.e. Tamattu, Qiran or Ifrad. If one has performed any optional Tawaf after Tawaf-e-Ziarat, the duty or obligation of Farewell Tawaf is fulfilled. Yet if one stays in Mak`kah for some time it is desirable to perform one or more Tawaf as farewell to the House of God. This Tawaf can be performed in one’s usual cloth not necessarily in Ihram. No Ramal is required in this Tawaf. However one should offer two-unit prayer after this Tawaf and invoke the bounty of Allah in all humiliation. Ask from God whatever you like with tears.
Prayer of Prophet Ibrahim (PBUH)
“Our Lord! And raise up in their midst a messenger from among them who shall recite unto them. Thy revelations and shall instruct them in the scripture and in wisdom and shall make them grow. Lo! Thou, only Thou, art the Mighty Wise. (Al-Baqrah: 129)
The above supplication of Prophet Ibrahim was accepted by God and He sent Muhammad (PBUH) as His Prophet with Book as blessing to his exalted creatures.
Every pilgrim feels restlessness after the Hajj to proceed to Madina as early as possible to convey his greetings and Salam to the Holy Prophet (PBUH) on whom the angles send their greeting and Darood day and night. This serene journey from Mak`kah to Madina is a journey of affection and love to the court of the noblest person among the humanity.
